Versa Valves

At Wilson Company, we only stock parts from suppliers we trust to provide the utmost quality. Versa has been crafting and refining valves for over 70 years. Its valves are used in many industries, including:

  • Oil and gas
  • Mobile pneumatics
  • Bulk handling
  • Pulp and paper
  • Woodworking
  • Chemical
  • Utilities
  • Food
  • Municipal services

Versa tests its products before shipment and offers a ten-year warranty — both reasons why Versa valves are the standard choice for many companies around the world.

Features of Versa Valves

Whether you’re controlling air or fluids, Versa valves can handle the pressure. These valves are modular for easy installation and simple replacement. They conform to ISO 9001 standards. Versa valves use 316 stainless steel, aluminum, or brass, depending on the application.

Stainless Valves

Stainless steel is incredibly durable and defeats corrosion. It also prevents leaks well thanks to its wear resistance and ability to hold tight tolerances. Stainless steel is made from a mixture of iron alloy, chromium, and nickel.

316 stainless steel — the kind used for Versa valves — is one of the hardiest grades. Thanks to the addition of molybdenum, 316 stainless is even more corrosion resistant than standard stainless.

If you plan on using your valves in areas that experience high concentrations of salt, such as in marine environments, you’ll be glad you have 316 stainless valves.

Brass Valves

These brass valves might not be as strong or corrosion resistant as stainless valves, but they do accept welding better. Brass is an excellent material, especially when pressures and temperatures remain low. As it’s made from copper and zinc, brass is relatively soft compared to metals like steel. It’s far more resilient than plastic.

Aluminum Valves

Aluminum valves provide considerable weight savings over brass and stainless steel while still offering greater strength than plastic. Although this material is relatively malleable, its excellent strength-to-weight ratio means it’s possible to achieve the same strength as steel by simply using more aluminum.

Corrosion resistance is still excellent with aluminum, and Versa’s aluminum valves are both leak-proof and able to withstand high pressures. One of the bigger benefits of aluminum, especially when compared to stainless steel, is cost. Aluminum is much less costly to acquire and machine, which translates into savings for the customer.

Versa Valves Series

Versa makes valves for a vast array of applications:

V Series

These valves are intended for directional control and can handle a range of pressures up to 100psi for hydraulic and 200psi for pneumatic. Versa will supply V series valves capable of withstanding higher pressures if needed. These valves are available with solenoid, manual, pilot, or mechanical actuation. You can also choose latching manual reset, redundant coils, and a lockout feature.

D-316 Series

This series consists of 316 stainless steel direct-acting valves for high-performance applications. These valves are constructed in a three-way configuration to offer true universal flow. They can be used for hydraulic, pneumatic, and natural gas systems.

C-316 Series

This series consists of 316 stainless steel three-port or five-port solenoid valves intended for high-flow applications. Valves can be ordered in three-way or four-way configurations. The C-316 series uses Versa’s elastomer-packed plunger for long-lasting bubble-tight performance. If you need a small form factor but high flow, this is your solution. Available in pilot, solenoid, mechanical, and manual actuation.

V-316 Series

Rugged 316 stainless construction throughout. The V-316 series valves are meant to withstand the most corrosive and damaging environments. They can be delivered with solenoid, pilot, manual, latching/resets, and other special actuations.

C Series

These valves offer huge flexibility. The anodized aluminum C series valves can be had in manifold mounted, rack mounted, or side ported configurations. They are available as four-way, five-port, two-position valves, or five-port three-position valves. Actuation can be manual, solenoid pilot, or remote pilot.

NAMUR-E5 Series

NAMUR-E5 series control valves can be mounted directly to a spring return rack and pinion actuator for quick installation and rapid response. Made from anodized aluminum, E5 NAMUR three-way control valves are bubble tight and can handle pneumatic pressures up to 150 psi. Actuation can be manual, remote pilot, or solenoid pilot.

NAMUR-C Series

Like the NAMUR-E5 series, the NAMUR-C Series comprises aluminum control valves that can mount directly to a rack and pinion actuator. Their bubble-tight design can accommodate any NAMUR actuator. Where these valves differ is that they can be converted in the field to act as either three-way or four-way valves.

E series (Anodized Aluminum)

This series consists of direct solenoid valves available in two-way or three-way configurations with the option of mounting to a manifold. They can handle pneumatic or hydraulic pressures as high as 500psi.

EZ Series

Aluminum-bodied two-way or three-way valves operated by direct-acting solenoids. The EZ series valves can be configured as side ported or manifold mounted and are the smallest form factor E family valves available. Made to withstand pneumatic-vacuum and hydraulic pressures up to 500psi.

B Series

For utmost versatility and low maintenance, the B series valves can take pneumatic-vacuum pressures up to 200psi or hydraulic pressures up to 500psi. With corrosion-resistant brass and stainless steel construction, these valves offer superior durability and wear. Available in two-way or three-way configurations with manual, remote pilot, or mechanical actuation.

B-316

Intended for use in corrosive environments and when carrying harsh media, B-316 valves feature strong and durable 316 stainless steel construction. Despite their compact size, they offer excellent flow and can handle 200psi pneumatic or 100psi hydraulic pressure. They can be actuated via solenoid, mechanical, pilot, manual, indicators, latches/reset, or a uniquely specified special type.

E Series (Stainless Steel)

These ESM-style direct solenoid valves are available in two-way or three-way configurations. Options include hazardous location coils, intrinsically safe coils, or low-watt coils. This series features entirely stainless steel construction.

E3 Series

E3 series valves are direct-acting incline valves for extreme environments and tight spaces. Though they are outwardly compact, they have large orifices for excellent flow. Pressure handling is 150psi for pneumatic and hydraulic applications.

E4 Series

Compact and heavy-duty, the E4 series features an integral junction box and is intended for use in hazardous conditions, such as facilities with ATEX, IEC, or CSA certifications. Built with either 316 or 430 stainless, depending on your need to fight stress corrosion cracking.

E5

Smaller than the E series, the E5 direct-acting three-way valves offer the same flow and operating pressures while using less power. Pressure handling for pneumatic, hydraulic, or water systems is 500psi.

H Series (Aluminum)

Bubble tight and leak-proof, these two-way or three-way H series valves can handle pneumatic pressures up to 3600psi and hydraulic pressures up to 10,000 psi with an aluminum body. Can be actuated via solenoid, pilot, or remote.

H Series (Stainless Steel)

While offering the same pressure handling as the aluminum H series, the stainless steel version can be optioned as a four-way valve and can handle more extreme environmental conditions without corroding. These valves are particularly well suited to the oil and gas industry.

K Series

The K series is an entire valve system that uses stacking modular manifolds to allow for easy interchanging. These compact and robust valves are made of brass and stainless steel. They can take pneumatic-vacuum pressures up to 200psi and hydraulic pressures as high as 500psi.

NAMUR: C-316

Just like Versa’s other NAMUR C valves, the three-way or four-way NAMUR C-316 mounts to rack and pinion actuators. With high flow solenoids and the option for remote pilot, solenoid pilot, or manual actuation, it’s ready for corrosive environments. Pneumatic pressure handling is 150psi.

T Series

These low-pressure directional control valves are designed for hydraulic systems with pressures from 0 to 500psi and temperatures up to 130°F. Each valve is made of forged brass and can be optioned with solenoid, pilot, manual, mechanical, latching/resets, or special switching.
